THE SLEUTHSAYER
"Today, 98 percent of American households have televisions," Ladle's Home Journal recently reported. 'That's more than have indoor plumbing." Flushed by the success of its first six issues, therefore, CELEBRITY SLEUTH is ready to take the plunge and sink its teeth into this pictorial tribute to the biggest stars of the small screen.
As one of our more avid readers commented in a letter: 'There are many magazines on the market featuring nude girls, but all without identity, and quite often boring. The real thrill is to see someone you know, a celebrity, uncovered!' Charlie's most heavenly Angel, Farrah Fawcett, unwittingly agreed when she declared, "If I have one last thing to say, I hope no one's hair ever becomes more important than who they are." Sleuth concurs—believing it's not how much you can show, but whom—and, in fact, of the thousands of celebrity photos we've run to date, the one that's easily engendered the most delight is the candid of Farrah herself, sans panties...which enjoys a renaissans on page 9 of this very issue. So you see, Farrah, it's actually who you are that makes the hair important!
In the next hundred pages, we've grouped our cast into four categories of network nudes: "Private Eyefuls," from whom we'd love to cop a feel; "SitComelies," who masterfully mix giggles with jiggles; "Variety Show-Offs," possessing a multinude of talents; and "Drama Mamas:' clearly in their prime time. Also, for the first time, we've included a special section of nude dudes that man-ages to uncover the foremost mates and dates of our Tek-Visions in a choice selection of "Tube Steaks."
When a leading men's magazine voted its "All-Time Top TV Jiggle Queens" a short while ago, the top-heavy list included Adrienne Barbeau, Lynda Carter, Loni Anderson, Marilu Henner, and Suzanne Somers—all of whom co-stark inside. In addition, eight others on the all-lime list played prominent roles in the magazine's first two issues, and will no doubt resurface in revealing "reruns" soon.
