Biography of Petter Hegre

Petter Hegre (born September 8, 1969 in Stavanger) is a Norwegian photographer and director known for his nudes.

Hegre began his career as a photographer while studying in the United States , after his military service in his country he returned to the USA where he attended the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara . From 1991 he collaborated with the famous photographer Richard Avedon in New York , later returned to Norway where he worked as a professional in Stavanger .

His first publication is My Wife (2000) a photo book with pictures of his first wife Svanborg Þórisdóttir. In addition to numerous publications, he has produced three short films containing in turn numerous nude scenes.

In 2001 he was named Photographer of the Year in London during the Erotic Oscars.
