Biography of Mary Carey (a.k.a.: Mary Ellen Cook)

Mary Carey (born Mary Ellen Cook on June 15, 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA) is an American porn star and politician. Her stage name comes from her passing resemblance to singer Mariah Carey.

Carey moved from Ohio to Florida when she was seven, and studied ballet and dance until she was 19 years old. She graduated in 1998 from the Pine Crest School, a Fort Lauderdale private preparatory school. At 19, she joined her college dance team. After being part of the team for a year, she began working as an exotic dancer.

On The Daily Show, she revealed to correspondent Stephen Colbert that the reason she has never done a scene involving anal sex is that she has chronic gas problems and "likes to poop." She then passed gas while the camera was filming.

On The Howard Stern Show, she revealed that her father has cerebral palsy and her mother has fetal alcohol syndrome.
