EDITORIAL NOTE
About a year ago, I got a letter from Kevin and Kelly Buckstrup. Early in his tattoo career, Kevin had worked in Lyle Tuttle's shop in San Francisco. I had rlost track of him, so it was nice to hear from him. A very clever, funny photo of Kevin and Kelly was enclosed with all the information about their new (and first) shop of their own, About Time Tattoo in Nashua, New Hampshire. I put the image on the Pushing Ink page of Tattoo and sent them a note via e-mail to let them know, and I also asked them about doing a feature story on their new place sometime in the future. They were ecstatic.
In early spring of this year, one of our photographers, Markus Cuff told me that he was going to attend a wedding on the East Coast. 'Did I want him to do any shops while he was there?," he asked. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to visit some of New England's tattoo shops including About Time.
What does all that have to do with this edition of Flash, you're wondering? Well, it's where we discovered our cover model, Jill Meltzer, whose artist is Kevin Buckstrup.
