THE SLEUTHSAYER
"It's terrible," Jerry Hall said of her celebrity status. "Once you get to be well known, you find that all those nude pictures or cheeky shots that you did in the past start popping up in all types of magazines!" But as Jerry will discover on pages 26 to 29, CELEBRITY SLEUTH is unlike any other magazine that's ever popped up. .
The realm of celebrity has broadened dramatically over the past decade—embracing not only those famous for Andy Warhol's prescribed "fifteen minutes," but also those reknown merely for saying, "I do." With this special issue devoted to "Wives & Lovers," we're embracing many of the beautiful women who've uttered those magic words to a major celebrity in recent years, as well as others whose principal claim to fame is to say: "I did."
And that's what they truly have in common—these sexy spouses and sweethearts of the stars: if asked whether they'd ever cavorted for the camera, each would seemingly have to reply, "I did!" And why not, for as previously profiled actress Louisa Moritz {vol. 3, no. 3} once observed: "I think showing your body is inherent in the entertainment profession. The public is always curious about the people they see in the movies, and good photography makes the female anatomy an object of art, I would say."

We move from the big screen to the small one in "Networking". ..and then to the grandest stage of modern times: the witness box {judge for yourself in "A Courtin' We Will Go"}. Alas, nothing lasts forever—even porn stars—so our final grouping of "X Mates" salutes the carnal couplings of those no longer linked.
All in all, we're firmly convinced this compendium of comely connubials is one of our hottest issues ever. But then, everything's relative.. .
