Amelia Troubridge's photographs of men explore male fantasies-of cars, power, money, life on the wild side, crime, celebrity, war, and rock music. The men-bad boys, artists, pop stars, mobsters, actors-come from different cultures, are celebrities or unknown kids off the street, but all share a taste for freedom. From a marijuana farmer in Amsterdam, to musicians from Motörhead and Blur, from Bill Clinton to Hugh Hefner, Troubridge photographs the men who walk the line and live life at a relentless pace.

Troubridge's photographs scratch below the surface, revealing the fears, hopes, and fragility of the male character-and of the world that shapes it-in brilliantly observed background detail. The photographs were taken around the world-in Columbia, Argentina, Rio, Texas, Los Angeles, New York-and around Europe, both east and west-Belgrade, London's Soho, Malta, Paris, Glasgow, Geneva-and for this book they have been sequenced to tell a powerful story.
