But the intense attraction that grows quickly between Laney and Sandrine threatens to expose them at the most critical juncture in the sting.

You can always count on Lisa Girolami for a high quality Hollywood lesfic romance and this book, laced with a touch of suspense, is a good example. Laney DeGraff is the president of a small bank in Beverly Hills founded by her now-retired father. Recovering from the break-up of a lackluster long term relationship where she was cheated on, Laney is befriended by a group of very wealthy women, most of them married, who are called the Pleasure Set. Flattered by their attentions and looking for excitement she hasn't had, she attends their events, including an orgy, and after a while realizes she and her bank have been set up. While all this is going on, Laney also begins dating Sandrine Girard, a Beverly Hills PD detective who has worked with her in the past on a number of fraud cases. As the relationship begins to develop and get serious, the issue with the Pleasure Set busts open threatening Laney, her bank and her new relationship.
The book is well written and is a real page turner. While the end is somewhat predictable, the fun is in getting there.
