Vampire Game, Volume 14 Book

Yujinn and Vord could be having a better time in Razenia. Vord meets his birth father for the first time, only to find the King may not be himself. For Lassen and Sharlen are also in Razenia and they've been taking the game to the next level. Will Ishtar, Darres, and Duzell get there in time? And what about Illsaide and his increasingly divided loyalties?

This was another volume of the calm before the storm, for a storm is beginning to brew and Yujinn is caught in the middle of it. The last panel made me want to weep. Ishtar continues to mature while Duzell and Illsaide discover their own motivations are murkier, giving them a measure of empathy for each other. Darres finds himself questioning his own feelings for both Ishtar and Yujinn, while Lassen becomes an increasingly complex villain. Secrets about Sharlen are revealed, Falan awakens to find herself in a tough situation, while Vord discovers himself in an even tougher one. Selen and Galahad show they're old hands at battling the undead and politcal manuevering, skills they're required to polish up and use. For we're reaching the climax of the game and who knows who's going to be a winner in the end? For all of these things, I give this book four stars.
