The greatest archaeological find of the 20th century, and perhaps of all time, was the discovery in 1922 of the tomb of the Egyptian Pharaoh Tutankhamen. Recently Tut has been in the news again. Not only has a traveling museum exhibit of his tomb's fascinating artifacts drawn the public's attention, but also a CT scan of his body, which provides new evidence concerning the king's fate, has received a good deal of media attention. Based on this new investigation, an Egyptian team of scientists and scholars has now publicly ruled out the possibility that Tut was murdered.

If you have a basic overview of Egyptian history (and I suppose even if you don't, but you're moderately interested in the subject), this book is for you.
It takes both criminal psychology and forensic evidence and combines it to formulate a best-guess as to how Tut died--and more importantly--WHO killed King Tut (hint: it was professor Plum with the noose in the Conservatory).
Good read. These two detectives from Utah travel, on behest of the Discovery Channel, to Egypt to help try to solve this thousands-old murder mystery.
While a little too long in several places, overall this was engaging and fun to read. I had only the basic, grade-school knowledge of Tut before reading this. Now I know a heckuva lot more about him! And part of me feels some modicum of pity for the boy king.
The book also makes me want to hear Steve Martin sing the song again "born in Arizona, moved to..."
