The three types of puffins—Atlantic, tufted, and horned puffins—all have short, stubby wings that are better suited for propelling them through the waters of the northern seas than flying over land. Puffins
This book was surprisingly informative. I learned a great deal about puffins and I had never expected to. The text, though ripe with knowledge and facts, was simple and flowing. The illustrations, or photographs, were always applicable, explained, and related to what was being read about puffins. This book would be a wonderful read aloud book with younger children - both child and adult will be learning here, certainly - as well as a good read for children getting closer to chapter books, or anyone curious on the topic.
