A tour through one of the greatest cities in the world. Concentrating mostly on Manhattan, the author mixes history with the present day and explores how culture and the arts shaped the personality of NYC. If you know your history you may find that sections of the book drag just a bit but overall it is an interesting book for those who love the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple.
