Escape to Morning Book

I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first book, though the suspense in Book 1 was more on the edge for me.

The suspense started out with a bang, with Will Masterson running through the forest after being grilled by terrorists. And Dani finding a dead body. Will needs to find a package before terrorists get to it and Dani is looking for a missing teenage girl.

I enjoyed the characters the most in this book. From the moment they met till the last page their story/relationship was intriguing. The fighting between Dani and Will was entertaining and to get the glimpses and later the full story of their past was great to read. Will struggling with his past versus new life was real and helped me connect with him. Dani's story was heartbreaking and once you read it you understand her.

"But Dani made him feel llike the guy he wanted to be. Trustworthy. Honorable. She wanted him want to be more, to do anything to see respect - even love - in her eyes"

The author uses a lot of scripture in this story - which I love. After reading this book I compared it to one of Karen Kingsbury's books, where you have a insight on the characters relationship with God, their struggles and revelations. It is one of the reasons I love Karen Kingsbury.

Still wondering what happened to Sarah - can't remember that her story was revealed in Book1.
