"Savage Land" is the story of Coley and Jase.

A angsty yet sweet tale of blooming love between a weird hybrid of Pollyanna and Mary Sue heroine, and a brooding hero. Our heroine shares a very close relationship with her brother, and moves into a distant relative's ranch when they fall on hard times. She is met by her aunt, the aunt's paraplegic and very grumpy brother, and the brother's vilified grandson- the hero. There are other characters too. There is a major rift in the family, with the hero being labelled a murderer and blamed for his late brother death. The whole book has the heroine defending the hero against all accusations, and believing in him even when he tries to convince her otherwise. Some drama towards the end, but all problems are solved and we have our very saccharine HEA.

Liked the relationship between the heroine and her brother, and her OTT trusting nature.
