Vermeer: Meet the Artist Book

This title was suggested to me as part of reading for Black History Month. I am extremely glad that happened. While the writing might not be the best, the story is as wild and exciting as Ms Coleman must have been herself. How I managed to get through a public school education and three college degrees, AND have a pilot's license and a love of flying and had not heard of this amazing renegade in the history of flight is disappointing. But at least now I know. This is a piece of history that is as valid an example of what America is about as anything I've read.
