I had been told that the Bengal still possesses the kind of intelligence originally native to cats but systematically bred out of most domestic breeds, so I shouldn´t have been surprised that my Bengal cat Leopardo would be so smart. But I wasn´t prepared for a cat that insisted in sitting in a chair at the dinner table like a person, turning lights and appliances on and off, opening and closing doors, raising and lowering ventian blinds, flushing the toilets, and even saying a few words.
