Very uneven, and my average rating for these is about two, but I'll give it a three anyway, mostly for the sake of the marvelous second story, and for the writing style - which I found very fitting to the locale and the themes; it also really enriched otherwise somewhat plain and unengaging stories. (Go to the comments for some more of my random thoughts, and lots of quotes that I had to share.)
