O'Murchu like many folks over the past thirty years refashions the evangelical counsels for use in the twenty-first century. His thesis is that religious are called to be liminal witnesses of the Kingdom of God to the world through the living out of the values present in vows for sustainability, relatedness, and collaboration. I would recommend reading this in conjunction with Bl. John Paul II's Vita Consecrata. O'Murchu asks several important questions--I would certainly enjoy spending an extended afternoon in conversation.
