Flags of Tennessee Book

I've made a shelf for books that I'm reading for school, but I probably won't review most of them. As a political science major/econ minor, I have to read a lot of books that most of my friends won't care about, haha.

This book was all in all, pretty alright. Coming from Ohio, I learned a lot that I would not otherwise have known. This is a great little compilation of Kentucky government and politics. I would definitely recommend it if you're planning on working in the LRC or really just in any field of Kentucky politics. It's also a good read if, like me, you're studying poli sci in Kentucky. Otherwise, however, I doubt you'd have any reason to read this.

I found this book very interesting, but it was a bit dry. I felt like the author did a lot of referencing to other chapters. For example, she'd be like, "Oh, 'X' event was very applicable to legislation, but I explain it fully in the governor chapter." Over and over. I understand most textbooks do it, but it seems like Miller did it excessively. It just made it a little difficult to follow. Also, the book is very out of date now. That isn't the book's fault, obviously, but if you're going to read it, you might need to supplement that reading with other sources, as well. Although, there aren't very many good books out on Kentucky government specifically, so being out of date doesn't make it completely irrelevant.

Overall, it's fine. It just has a very narrow audience.
