Nevada Curiosities is an eye-opening exploration of the state that should appeal to all from Nevada natives to visitors passing through. It delves into the history of many of Nevada's largest and smallest towns. It visits the state's geologically unique locations. Man-made attractions are described as well as well as unusual characters both past and present. The book is chock-full of facts, photos, and trivia. This would be a great book to keep in the car for some enjoyable referencing while traveling through the state.
One of the quirky things I enjoyed seeing in the book was the photo that accompanied the section entitled "Where Old Neon Goes to Die". My family and I often stayed at the Tam O'Shanter Hotel while visiting Las Vegas when I was growing up. (p. 21)
