After watching Invictus and meandering in the Boston public library while visiting my kids I saw this book and snagged it. Quick read since it is geared towards kids. My kind of book. I really didn't know much about apartheid or South African history for that matter. Amazing to me that groups of people could be treated so cruelly and even more amazing that Nelson Mandela could be so forgiving after spending 27 years in prison trying to correct those cruelties. He definitely deserved the Nobel peace prize ten fold in my judgment.
