Other Details: Full-color throughout 12 pages 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" Published 1999
Author Biography: Meg Parsont is the Publicity Director of Abbeville Press. Anna Curti is the illustrator of more than a dozen children's books, including the Poke and Look Learning Books (Grosset & Dunlap), Build Your Own Series (Derrydale), and My Very First Nature Crafts Books (Little Simon, 1997).
The "Go-Books" are shaped like the vehicles they tell about. Super Speedy is out to win a big race, however when she sees a bunny crying by the roadway, she stops to help. She finds mother bunny and in doing so, Speedy loses the race but, according to the text, "in everyone's heart she wins first place!". The toy aspect of the board book is the real selling point. Others in the series include Seaplane, Helicopter, and Bulldozer.
