Albion, New York (Images of America Series) Book

History of the rise of the major streetcar companies in NY and their technological evolution; another smaller chapter tackles the independents. Photographs are the main event here, and despite the passage of time they're very good quality. Because these are NYC streetcars, there are many nice shots of trolleys set against interesting urban backgrounds, like NYC's bridges and famous buildings -- some of which are still being built at the time of the photograph. There were cars photographed here that I've never seen before, like a garbage trolley that dumped its load sideways.
