History of Modern Planetary Physics: Volume 3, The Origin of the Solar System and of the Moon from Chamberlain to Apollo: Fruitful Encounters
August 2016. Discusses the early days of the space program and provides interesting insights to some of the people who developed out space program; and of course it presented some of the medical aspects. The one downside was the author's continuing defense of his actions that prevented Deke Slayton from going to space--he made the right decision and was right to defend (if not enforce) his decision. Lots of interesting tidbits, but his continuing defense of his decision became tedious. On the plus side was his interactions with Lyndon Johnson.
