This is a fantastic edition for intermediate to advanced student of ancient Greek. It follows on the JACT Reading Greek text and assumes that the reader has an understanding of most of the vocabulary and grammar in that text, but it provides almost all the additional help needed to freely read the Greek. Cunliffe's A Lexicon of the Homeric Dialect also comes in handy at points.
Homer's Greek is relatively easy to read. The syntax is fairly simple, though there are a few tricky passages, and a lot of it can be figured out in context. And these climactic books are as riveting as any in literature. I wasn't too keen on reading Homer in Greek since I learned it mainly to read Plato, but this wonderful little edition changed my mind.
