Octopuses and Squids Book

I already love gorillas, but after reading this informational text, I felt like I understood them on a deeper level than I had before. The book told readers that gorillas are highly social creatures, and even related them back to humans, which I thought was important for children to see the relation between. Nichols discussed their behaviors, their vital role in their native habitats, dangers to the species, and other various facts on the amazing creatures. Additionally, the book had little facts in some of the margins discussing how to play like a gorilla, or should you meet one, how you should act in their presence. The pictures were crisp and detailed, and told much about gorillas and their home countries and their other inhabitants.
This would be a good book for a child to pick up when researching for a project on gorillas, and due to the National Geographic stamp on the title, one can know that the facts are verified and can be trusted. Additionally, the book had all of the necessary text features, such as bold words and a glossary.
