Dakota Cowboy (Love Inspired Historical Series) Book

This was my first christian romance and a NTM author as well. It was a sweet book with just a few kisses thrown in.

Lucy waited tables in the local diner serving hungry cowboys. When she catches the eye of cute cowboy, Wade, she is sure his just like al the other cowboys. He however has a different message. He wants Lucy to come to see her dad, because he is very ill. Lucy, however, has closed herself off from any emotional intanglements with that man and wants nothing to do with him. After Lucy sees something she shouldn't she ends up going with Wade to her dad's farm.

Now where I had issues with the books, is earlier on there were some mention of some lettes that her dad had sent to her and she sent them back unopened. But when Lucy gets there, he doesn't want anything to do with her or hardly even look at her. Now had we as the reader had a little insight into how her dad was feeling at these times, I might have been able to see the situation from his point of view. But we didn't and therefore had to see it from Lucy's POV.

Finally Wade steps in and forces her dad to admit to his feelings for Lucy and give her some explaination for they way he was acting. It was a little too late for me. However, the ending kind of made up for what her dad had done....a little bit. Wade and Lucy though did make a cute couple. Religion was present, but I didn't feel that it overwhelm the book.
