He played baeseball, basketball, any sport you can name. Bill looks like your typical American sports hero, too blond blue eyed and muscular.
The most important thing in his life is sports. He wanted to be the best. Actually girl's took the second place to his athletics. Well all that hard work pays off. In his first year of junior college, Bill signed a pro baseball contract that sent him to the Baltimore Orioles' farm system. There he progressed quickly. He was brought up to the majors during his second full playing year which is unusual. Sometimes a guy stays in the minors for the three or four years, but he got lucky. Being a catcher is ont the hardest position, and it really takes a toll on your body, so often teams need a new set of knees.
Bill did well in his first pro session, but then he hurt his arm, It was during the spring training. He knew his career was over, nut he hung in there for one more year. The Orioles traded him to the Cincinnati Reds, and then he retired. William Wood has several misspellings. Internet searches have led to many erroneous spellings of celebrities names.
