Ashlyn Martin (born March 20, 1946 in London, England) is an English adult model and actress who was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its April 1964 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar and Mario Casilli. She also appeared in the July 1963 issue of Playboy in "The Bunnies", a pictorial, as well as in a photograph dated 1960 (along with Playmate/Bunny Patti Reynolds) in The Bunny Years (page 56) by Kathryn Leigh Scott. In the January 1966 Issue of Playboy she appeared in the Playboy Mansion Pictorial along with Allison Parks (starting on page 105). In The Playmate Book, Hugh Hefner says that Laura's pseudonym was inspired by a character in the Ernest Hemingway novel The Sun Also Rises, most likely Brett Ashley.

Ashlyn grew up in Florida, Chicago, Illinois and New York City with her two brothers and two sisters. Her father was a pilot and her mother a nurse. Barely 18 years old when her issue came out, Ashlyn was most certainly 17 years old when she posed for Playboy. She appeared in a few films, most notably Blood Feast (1963), a classic of the horror genre. She also worked as a Bunny at the Chicago Playboy Club.

She was occasionally a girlfriend of Tony Bennett, Eddie Fisher and Frank Sinatra during the 1960's. According to her diary, Sinatra took her to a recording session on July 24, 1963, when the songs "So In Love" and "Wonder How It Feels" were recorded. She later became a spiritual counselor and teacher for the Science of Mind.

She died of suicide by overdose.
