Lost Railways of Cheshire Book

I'm not going to give anything away or spoil someone's enjoyment of reading this book. However, Indiana Folk-Lore and History are two of my personal favorite subjects.

I am absolutely enthralled when railroading (a personal passion of mine) intertwines with these two personal favorites.

Christopher Rund, Fred Frailey and Eric Powell have combined to trace, detail and document all three in their book "The Indiana Railroad Company - America's New Regional Railroad".

Within the pages of this masterfully written documentary; you will experience the rich history of those who built the railroads of 1800s Indiana. The daily lifestyle and struggles of the crews that operated those early locomotives and trains.

You will also come away with a very warm and welcome feeling for the lives of those folks who lived their entire life in towns and houses along the rails.

To quote the authors - this book - this Indiana Railroad Company - "...is a living patchwork quilt, sewn together by the steel rails traveling through it."

I highly recommend this book!
