Stripping, Sex, and Popular Culture
I would've given this book four stars, but I feel that it was lacking the client perspective. Interviews with prostitute and stripper clients would have rounded out the perspectives of each section, such as who holds the power: the stripper with her wiles or the client with his money? Is prostitution or stripping empowering or demeaning from a client perspective? Does the client truly see it as a fantasy, as the stripper intends? And so on.
Otherwise, enjoyed the book immensely.
