The Patient in the White Coat: My Odyssey from Health to Illness and Back
This was a good read. It helped me to understand the reasons behind why a lot of doctors are the way they are -- the inability or unwillingness to actually listen to their patients and the development of egos as a few topics. But understanding doesn't make me accept that it is right or okay. I did want to know more about how the doctor's experiences as the patient changed her actual medical practices.
