Cathedral of the Black Madonna: The Druids and the Mysteries of Chartres

M. Markale's book is like a bunch of long short-stories that sort of connect but not really. He tries to connect the Black Stone of alchemy to the black madonna in Chartres Cathedral as well as trying to say it was built over a Druidic well or dolmen. It is quite unconvincing although he seems to believe it and doesn't quite get religious history. He likes the Marian cult, but it too is unbelivably naive.
