Revenge of the Donut Boys: True Stories of Lust, Fame, Survival and Multiple Personality Book

3.5 stars -- As others have said, many of these articles are dated (does anyone really care about Roseanne, or pro beach volleyball anymore?) Being dated isn't always a bad thing, however--it was fun to read about Ice Cube back when he was a menacing figure to mainstream society--instead of the star of hokey family films.

Those articles not revolving around pop culture, such as a small neighborhood's encounter with a terrifying California wildfire, are more riveting. And for pure schadenfreude, there is the profile of the ex-Marine who is now a stay-at-home dad with two toddlers, whose once interesting life now revolves around shit, piss, snot, and mindless screaming. And to top it all off, his once-happy marriage is now a mess, of course. Shoulda wrapped it up, you poor dumb bastard.
