The Classic Treasury of Childhood Wonders: Favorite Adventures, Stories, Poems, and Songs for Making Lasting Memories
A fun book for the whole family. Each section begins with a gorgeous painting, followed by poems and quotations about the section's topic. Then there is a page of information about the topic. Finally, there is a page with an activity related to the topic. Although the introduction says that the activities are designed for children as young as five to do on their own, I believe that they would be best done as a family. This book would be a treasure trove of fun for families who need activities during school vacations or snow days, and homeschooling families will find plenty to supplement their curriculum as well.
