Frogs! (National Geographic Readers Series) Book

This National Geographic reader was a fun, quick read for a budding reader. It is broken into several short sections; I wouldn't necessarily call them chapters. The photographs were engaging and impressive! There were some fun illustrations at the end, too. I like that instead of frog facts alone, this book included tidbits of general science knowledge as well. There were also some jokes listed, which I thought was a nice touch for a young reader who may get discouraged in an attempt to finish a book. I do recommend this to and believe both pre-literate and literate children can both benefit from this informational book. Children can follow along with some of the photos listed while being read to while early readers can read the facts and attach that content to the photos. Diversity is not an element in this book, and it has not been made into a movie, although a short documentary would be fun for a classroom!
