Eyeshield 21: Devil Bat Ghost continues where the previous tankÅbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (98-106) of the on-going manga series.
This tankÅbon continues the match between the Deimon Devil Bats and the Amino Cyborgs. In their first play with Sena Kobayakawa, the Devil Bats do a sweep, and he manages to overcome Atsushi Munakata with the Devil Bat Ghost to score a touchdown and easily wins the game by 38-8.
The Deimon Devil Bats next match is against the Yuuhi Guts, but other sports team athletes replace the actual football members of the Yuuhi team because the school administration was dissatisfied with their previous year results. However, when the Devil Bats are winning by 42-0 the actual members are allowed to play. They are able to score a touchdown, but the game ends 56-6.
This tankÅbon is written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. For the most part, I really liked the story and the progression of the story. It is wonderful to see that the Deimon Devil Bats are progress well through the Autumn Tournament. It was also interesting to see other teams being introduced as it is shaping up to be a lively tournament.
All in all, Eyeshield 21: Devil Bat Ghost is a wonderful continuation to a new series that seems intriguing and I cannot wait to read more.
