Guide to identifying native (and some widely introduced) trees of North America east of the Rocky Mountains. Organized as a dichotomous key, the book leads you through a series of simple questions about the shape or appearance of different parts of a tree, and finally leads you to identify the species. Key guides encourage close observation and learning about plant structures. The small (4"x6") format is easy to stick in your pocket or pack and take along on a hike.
