That's Good! That's Bad! in the Grand Canyon
Summary: A boy and his grandmother are on vacation at the Grand Canyon. The boy falls off the side of the cliff and goes through a number of events, some that are good and some that are bad. By the end, he is reunited with his grandma and she makes sure not to lose him again.
Uses: read-aloud (students will definitely find the humor in the book and begin to interact with the text), independent reading for late early readers, example of onomatopoeia words
Literary Devices: onomatopoeia, imagery, told using a different voice
Social Issues: feeling safe with your family (kind of a metaphor of life)
