Another typical entry in this mostly mediocre series. The instructions in the beginning are well done but they're the same ones in all the books. I do like that they come up with a basic toolkit so you don't have to read through a list of basics when you look at the list of supplies needed for a project.

I wish there were more than one picture of each project. I'd like to see the inside or cross view of a bag. There's one bag that just looks like a square piece of felt. But I like how these books are organized with the "What you need" "and "What you do."

Some of the bags are cute but impractical, like the teacup with the pull looking like the paper tag on a teabag, adorable flowered clutch also made out of felt that's too shallow for things not to fall out because the handle hole is too low, and the phone case with a button attaching it to your belt. You couldn't even fit a phone in without unhooking it. The button would fall off in a week, the embroidery floss stitches sooner.

Others are just ugly and weird. There's a large bag that interesting with a bizarre applique and an opening that's way too small for any bag that's bigger than a clutch and a second almost identical dark blue bag with a strap with white polka dots on red used as the handle and as a great big bow. Then there's the allegedly glamours evening bag with a gigantic hand with a fake diamond on the ring finger as a clasp that is almost as big as the purse itself.

But there are some interesting things I either like or know are stylish or I'd appreciate in different fabric. There's a little purse you could use as a makeup type bag that has two side-by-side pockets, a clutch made from vintage pillowcases, another clutch (lots of them in this book) with an outside pocket as well, a little emobroidered wallet, and a nice little jewelry roll.
