first of all, thank you for summarizing your own play better than i could ever hope to do in the introduction to ALICE IN BED. it made my goodreads review very easy. your introduction made me hunger for the play, but the play itself surpassed all my expectations. oh how you know me.

i feel as if you see me. i feel as if you are reaching across time, stretching your hand out to mine; telling me my hurt and suffering is not new. people have always felt this way. not everyone, but enough to make me way less alone than i feel.

thank you for shedding a light on all the women whose voices have been silenced throughout history. whose illnesses have been seen as a nuisance to the men around them, and too often even seen as a side effect of womanhood.

if life is just the bearing of all this pain'and i hope it's not, i hope there's more for me'then at least we can cry for each other.
