Could not finish... this is commentary on the current state of the entrainment industry... as of the year 2000.
This book does not chronicle the history of some of the biggest names as much as describe what they are presently doing to change the scope of motion pictures.
Rupert Murdoch is quoted at the yet to be release Arnold Schwarzenegger film TRUE LIES.
Book is too dated, but what I did read is accurate, although terminology has changed and we seem to be much further down the road of "Mega Films" (as used in the book) than this book supposes as the discussion is always now focused on "Tent-pole pictures" (as commonly used now).
