Florence was the second daughter of William and Fanny Nightingale. Florance trained to become a nurse and later her wish was fulfilled as she was summoned to the battlefield; the war between the English and the Turkish. Gradually the nursing facilities grew better due to Florence's help, and nurses were no longer hated but admired. Florence had influenced many, and "her views on nursing had spread all over the world." She was a world-wide heroine.
