Who Are the Real Chosen People?: The Meaning of Chosenness in Judaism, Christianity and Islam
Very interesting and informative read, but I felt the book left the initial question a bit unresolved, and some of the scriptural texts cited as proof actually seemed to contradict Firestone's argument, like when he argues that Jews point to the Old Testament to show that the Jews are loved even more than the angels, but the verses provided do not insinuate that at all. Firestone seems to know that he's talking about, but perhaps he just didn't make his writing clear enough.
