Way to go, Alex! Book

This book is about Carly having a brother named Alex who is different than her. She explains it as his brain not working. She wants her brother to have something to celebrate so their family registers him in Special Olympics and him and Carly train together and have something to bond over. I think this would be a good book to read to children because it will teach them about disabilities at a young age. The artwork has a childish style making the faces of children blurred out so the children with Downs Syndrome are indistinguishable. The illustrations are beautifully done using simplicity and expression. I give this book five stars because it can help children have acceptance towards others.
