Rather dry, and not a very good translation--there are a lot of grammatical errors, especially where commas are concerned (i.e., he tends, to separate his subjects from his verbs). Still, it has a lot of good information about feudal ceremony, chivalry, arms, armor, tournaments, and trial-by-combat. The picture plates are very nice, but I wish the pictures were closer to the text that describes them instead of in a separate section.
