Harvey Robert Levenson is a professor and head of the Graphic Communication Department at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. He holds four degrees in printing and communication, including a Ph.D. in rhetoric and communication from the University of Pittsburgh, and MS degree in printing management from South Dakota State University, a BS degree in printing from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and an AAS degree in graphic arts and advertising technology from New York City Community College. Dr. Levenson is an active researcher, consultant, and speaker on matters related to printing, technology, media, literacy, and communication, and he has authored numerous articles and five books on these subjects.
