This is a great textbook. It adequately defines different types of assessment and uses those types throughout the book to be redefined based on student situations. Assessment is used and needed for identifying students in a person-centered planning situation for Transitional Planning (Pre-K to grade school, elementary to middle, middle to high, high to career readiness, hospital/home or other to school), Communication skills, Course Content, and Social-Emotional Growth/Readiness.
