Total Feng Shui: Bring Health, Wealth, and Happiness into Your Life Book

I suppose this is a reasonably good introduction to feng shui, but I found the formatting incredibly frustrating. The book begins by telling you what to do, and then goes about telling you some reasons why. The first half has quite a few references to later parts of the book, which were more of a distraction than anything else. I would definitely preferred a format that went from the general to the specific, instead. The suggestions were also sometime contradictory, which could be confusing for the reader. I didn't have much grounding in feng shui before this, so I can't comment on whether it is a good representation of the system, but I also don't think it is something that I will pursue much further, both because apparently my situation is incredibly complicated since my wife and I have a strange combination of requirements and because I was not persuaded that the system itself is particularly effective. Perhaps I would be helped by feng shui, but I'm not convinced yet. Still, I feel like I would now at least be able to tell if someone actually had a background in feng shui or if they were just making things up, so there's that.
