The animals in the story represent different branches of God's family...Thomas T- Moss (Catholics), Lucky Luther (Protestants), and Jeremiah the Rabbit (Jewish believers). Despite their diversity, all are called to work together to build up the church, the body of Christ, and be a part of God's family. Ephesians 4:11-14
Anonymous the Owl is the Holy Spirit, who guides them all on their journey of faith that triumphantly ends with everyone participating together in the Heavenly Banquet (sharing Communion). The characters represent the Pilgrim church on their journey to meet the Great Tuna (Jesus). As Christians, our roots are in Judaism which is Holy. Catholicism is the stem and from that branches the Protestants and therefore, also Holy. (Romans 11:11-19)
Could this be the time in salvation history in which God has chosen to realize the New Evangelization promised by Pope Benedict XVI with the Pontifical Council in October of 2012?
"May it be so"...says Anonymous the Owl!
Thomas T-Moss and the Great Tuna was purposely written and illustrated in a child-like manner to emphasize that we are all God's children no matter what our age. In 1983, Joyce believes to have knowledge revealed to her in that she was to be a bridge to Christian unity. Joyce Dean illustrated most of this book in 1999 through the prompting of the Holy Spirit. She believes the message is like a prophetic parable.
