Poetic text introduces readers to the baobab tree of Africa, the creatures that frequent it, and legends about it.
There isn't a ton of text, but this does a good job of showing the role of the baobab tree in its ecosystem and introducing readers to a most curious looking plant. Good pick for plant units, ecosystem units, and Africa units. There's further information on some of the organisms introduced in the back of the book.
